Hamilton Road Flyover (14 April 2009)


The Hamilton Road Flyover is a viaduct in Penang. It connects Hamilton Road with Batu Lanchang Lane, across Green Lane.

The Hamilton Road Flyover was built in the mid-1980s to ease traffic flow along the increasingly congested Green Lane. Although it permits uninterrupted traffic flow across Green Lane, its construction was criticised as a viaduct or elevated road along Green Lane would have provided for a smoother flow. As it is, Green Lane remains as busy as before.
