Istana Kedah (5 August 2012)


Istana Kedah (5.42766, 100.32375), or Kedah House, is the residence of the Sultan of Kedah in Penang. Located along Northam Road, it was designed by Charles Geoffrey Boutcher in the European Gothic style. The design of Istana Kedah is also said to have been influenced by the work of famous American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, as well as the French Romanesque style. Istana Kedah is not open to the public.
