Kazuno (Japanese: 鹿角市) is a city on the northeastern part of
Akita Prefecture, in the
Tohoku Region of Japan. The city covers 707 sq km (273 sq mi) and has a population of 35,000 people (2012 estimate). The city was only established in 1972.
