Jelutong Jetty, Penang (2009)


Jelutong Jetty (GPS: 5.39413, 100.32703) is a RM3.5 million concrete jetty in Bandar Sri Pinang, Jelutong. It is part of the Fisheries Landing Complex of Jelutong built in 2010.

The Jelutong Jetty is for the use of inshore fishermen in the area. The fishermen are to be resettled to make way for coastal development such as The Light Waterfront. About a hundred inshore fishermen are expected to use this jetty. They were given a token compensation to help them relocate to this landing complex.
