Kedai Makanan Seong Huat (GPS: 5.38995, 100.31216) is a coffee shop in Jelutong, Penang. It is located at the northwest intersection of Penaga Road and Ipoh Lane. The proprietor probably also owns Kedai Makanan Seong Huat along Bawasah Road.

The Jelutong Kedai Makanan Seong Huat was previously known as Kim Hee Cafe. At end 2013, Kim Hee Cafe relocated across Penaga Road to occupy the coffee shop that previously was known as Old Kim Hee Cafe, vacating the site for Kedai Makanan Seong Huat. At time of writing (January 2014), the coffee shop has not opened yet.

Among the stalls expected to operate at Kedai Makanan Seong Huat Jelutong include the koay chiap, char koay teow and putu mayong.

Here's the char koay teow seller at Kedai Makanan Seong Huat. The uncle seems to fry without stopping. If you want to place your order, do it with his wife. I have tried the char koay teow a couple of times. Not too bad.

On this visit, we had the char koay teow and the koay chiap. The koay chiap was a bit on the salty side. We told the hawker afterwards. On the whole, we used to like this koay chiap, but we found that it is not very filling, even when we order the large bowl. For that reason, we do not often have koay chiap for breakfast.

Had the Char Koay Teow from the same stall as 2 February, 2013, but this time, it was fried by a woman. Not too bad.

From the bus stop along Jalan Jelutong, walk toward the junction of Penaga Road, then go along Penaga Road until intersection of Ipoh Lane, and you will see Kedai Makanan Seong Huat on your right.
