Kuantan Road, George TownKuantan Road, George Town (25 May 2013)

Jalan Kuantan, formerly known as Kuantan Road, is a road off Dato Kramat Road in George Town. It was named after Kuantan, the capital of Pahang state on the east coast of West Malaysia. The road joins Kajang Road at the other end.

Kuantan Road was built towards the turn of the 20th century, as the city of George Town began to expand outwards. Kuantan Road is famous for the market that is there in the morning, and the Sar Hor Fun stall there in the evening. At the junction of Kuantan Road are two coffee shops, Timesway Restaurant on the west side while Kedai Kopi Khye Lock Hooi is on the east side.
