"Rope Style" Sculpture, Rope Walk, George Town

Rope Style (GPS: 5.41621, 100.33336) is a steel-rod sculpture based on the caricature of Tang Mun Kian. It is installed on a wall at Rope Walk, George Town, Penang.

The Rope Style Sculpture provides a Rapunzel take to the story of Rope Walk, which got its name from the rope-making activities of the street during the 19th century. In Mun Kian's rendition, the rope making is replaced with hair braiding.
