Sandilands Street (Malay: Lebuh Sandilands; Penang Hokkien: Kau1-Tiau3 Lor33
, Pek1-Tiau3 Lor33 Pnua3 ) is the last road in the Seven Streets Precinct. It is known in Hokkien as both Kau1-Tiau3 Lor33 meaning the "Ninth Street (after the Prangin Canal)", as well as Pek1-Tiau3 Lor33 Pnua3 meaning "Eighth-and-a-half Street".Sandilands Street was laid when the swampy end of town was reclaimed and the mangrove trees cut down. The corner of Sandilands Street and Bridge Street is regarded as geomantically auspicious to the Chinese, and on that location stands the Seng Ong Beow Temple, which was there even when Sandilands Street was a mere country path.
At this point in time, it is not clear to me whether Sandilands Street was named after Robert Sandilands Frowd Walker, who laid the foundation stone of the Diamond Jubilee Wadda Gurdwara Sahibhttps://www.penang-traveltips.com/gurdwara-sahib-khalsa-dharmak-jatha-wadda.htm on nearby Brick Kiln Road on 3 June 1901.

The nearest bus stop is along McNair Street. It receives Rapid Penang Bus 302 and 401.
