Balestier Road is a major road in Singapore. It cuts through Novena and part of Kallang. The road runs from Thomson Road in the west to Serangoon Road in the east, where it continues on as Lavender Street.

Balestier Road was named after the first American Consul of Singapore, Joseph Balestier, who served from 1837 to 1952. Living in Singapore, he acquired large areas of land, of which he started a failed sugar plantation. The road that passes through his estate was eventually named after him.1
