Bible House, Singapore

Bible House, SingaporeBible House, Singapore (30 July 2017)

Bible House (GPS: 1.29357, 103.84881) is a commercial property on Armenian Street in the Museum Planning Area of downtown Singapore. Designed by LAUD Architects, it was completed and opened on 10 September, 2013.

The design of Bible House is a stylized representation of the Bible, in particular the Old Testament and the New. The solid masonry wall on the south façade of the building represents the Old Testament, during which time, the people lived governed by the law. In contrast, the north-east façade has a glass curtain wall which symbolises the direct relationship of the people with Jesus Christ.

Today Bible House is occupied by at least two churches for their services, the All Saints Presbyterian Church and the Providence Reformed Presbyterian Church.
