Singapore MRT Cross Island Line

Cross Island Line is a high capacity line of the Singapore MRT currently under development in Singapore. It is expected to run in an east-west direction from Changi to Jurong. The Cross Island Line will carry the code CRL. The line is colour coded lime.

The Cross Island Line was first announced in 2013. On 25 January 2019, 12 stations of this line was identified spanning 29 kilometres (18 miles), from Aviation Park MRT Station to Bright Hill MRT Station. On 10 March 2020, a branch of the Cross Island Line, 7.3 kilometres (4.5 miles) in length, was announced from Pasir Ris MRT Station to Punggol MRT Station. In December 2021, it was announced that the western half of the CRL will have 11 stations, with interchanges at the King Albert Park MRT Station, Clementi Station and Jurong Pier MRT Station. The terminus will be at the Gul Circle MRT Station. However, after the announcement, the map was taken offline, with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) stating that the actual route has not been finalised.

On the map below, I show the approximate route of the Cross Island Line. As this project is under development an on going, I will update this page from time to time as it progresses.
