Merchant Road is a road in the Singapore River Planning Area of Singapore. It connects Clemenceau Avenue to North Canal Road, at the intersection with Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road. Located on the south side of the Singapore River, it also branches to New Market Road, Keng Cheow Street, Read Crescent and Magazine Road. There is also a subterranean access between Merchant Road and the Central Expressway on the Chin Swee Tunnel.
