Ah Quee Street today (22 November 2008)
; English: Ah Quee Street; Penang Hokkien: Ah1 Kwee1 Kay1
) is one of two streets in George Town named after Kapitan China Chung Keng Quee. It was presented by the Kapitan to the Municipality of George Town around the turn of the 20th century. To create the street, Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee, who was also known as Ah Quee, had his shophouse fronting Beach Street demolished.
