In keeping with its rapid growth, Kuala Lumpur today has a diverse network of mass transit. This includes the commuter train network, the light rail transit, the monorail and the soon-to-operate mass rapid transit. This is supported by the Electric Train Service, which connects major cities of Peninsular Malaysia. As many of the earlier lines were privately constructed, they are not well integrated. Efforts are now being put in place to improve the integration, but it will be many more years before the network is tidied up.

The following is a list of mass transit in Kuala Lumpur.

The Klang Valley LRT is a 60-station network of light rail transit trains.
The KL Monorail Line is a 8.6 km long monorail line with 11 operational stations.
The Electric Train Service is a high-speed electric train connecting Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar.
The Express Rail Link is the high-speed train connecting KLIA to KL Sentral.
The KTM Komuter is a commuter train service serving the Klang Valley. It presently comprises two lines totalling 217 km in line length and 53 stations.
The Kuala Lumpur MRT is preliminary information about the mass rapid transit system being planned for Kuala Lumpur.
