National Liberal Club, London

National Liberal Club (GPS: 51.50624, -0.12411) is a London gentlemen's club founded in 1882 by William Ewart Gladstone, who served as Prime Minister for four times. The club originally admitted only men, but is now open to women as well. Its purpose was to provide Liberal Party campaigners with club facilities.

The National Liberal Club is now located in a beautiful Neo-Gothic building at 1 Whitehall Place, near the Palace of Westminster and Trafalgar Square. The National Liberal Club building holds the distinction of being the second largest cluhouse ever built in London. The building was designed by Alfred Waterhouse, and was completed in 1887. Among the club facilities include a dining room, a bar, function rooms, a billiards room, a smoking room and a reading room. It also has a riverside terrace with views of London Eye.
